    Chocolate Cheesecake Filled and Ganache-Topped Cake

    This Chocolate Cheesecake Filled and Ganache-Topped Cake is a chocolate lover’s fantasy come to life! With a rich, moist chocolate sponge, a luscious cheesecake center, and a glossy layer of smooth ganache, every bite delivers the perfect mix of flavor and texture. It’s elegant, indulgent, and guaranteed to impress guests at any celebration!

    Ingredients:

    For the Chocolate Cake:
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 cups granulated sugar
    ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 tsp baking powder
    1½ tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup buttermilk
    ½ cup vegetable oil
    2 large eggs
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    1 cup boiling water
    For the Cheesecake Filling:
    450 g (16 oz) cream cheese, softened
    ½ cup granulated sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 large egg
    For the Chocolate Ganache:
    1 cup bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate chips
    ½ cup heavy cream

    Instructions:

    1. Make the Chocolate Cake Batter
    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch cake pans.
    In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    Add the buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
    Finally, add the boiling water and stir until well combined the batter will be thin and glossy.

    2. Prepare the Cheesecake Layer
    In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth and creamy.

    3. Assemble and Bake
    Pour half the cake batter into the pans.
    Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the batter.
    Top with the remaining cake batter and smooth the surface.
    Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

    4. Make the Ganache
    Heat the heavy cream until just hot (do not boil).
    Pour over the chocolate chips and let stand for 5 minutes.
    Stir until the mixture becomes shiny, silky, and lump-free.

    5. Assemble the Cake
    Stack the cooled cakes. Pour the warm ganache over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides beautifully.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour before slicing.

    Prep Time: 30 minutes
    Bake Time: 40 minutes
    Servings: 10–12
