    Directions:

    Mix in granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until light and creamy.

    Gradually add flour on low speed, mixing just until combined.
    Do not overmix this keeps the cookies soft and tender.

    Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface
    Cut with your favorite cookie cutters
    Transfer to baking sheets, spacing 1 inch apart

    Bake for 10–12 minutes, just until edges are set.
    Cookies should stay pale and soft, not golden brown.
