    Cherry Custard Puff Pastry Wreath

    How to Make the Cherry Custard Puff Pastry Wreath:

    In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch, egg yolk, vanilla, and salt.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes thick and creamy.
    Remove from heat and allow the custard to cool completely.

    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    Lay the puff pastry sheet flat on a clean surface.
    Spread a ring of cooled custard around the center of the pastry, leaving the edges clean.
    Spoon the cherry filling directly over the custard.

    Roll the pastry lengthwise to form a log.
    Bring both ends together to create a circle and pinch to seal.
    Use a sharp knife to cut slits around the circle without cutting all the way through.
    Gently twist each section to expose the beautiful cherry-custard layers.

    Brush the wreath with egg wash.
    Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden-brown, puffy, and crisp.
