    Cheesy Spinach-Stuffed Chicken Breast

    Cheesy Spinach-Stuffed Chicken Breast

Looking for a mouthwatering, protein-packed dinner that’s simple to make? This Spinach and Cheese-Stuffed Chicken Breast is your go-to solution! Juicy chicken breasts are filled with creamy cheese and sautéed spinach, then seared to golden perfection. Ideal for weeknight dinners or impressive weekend meals.

    Ingredients:

    2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

    200g fresh spinach

150g cheese (cream cheese, mozzarella, or your favorite melty cheese)

1 garlic clove, minced (optional, for extra flavor)

    Salt and pepper, to taste

Olive oil or butter (for cooking)

Toothpicks or kitchen string (to secure the stuffing)

    Lemon juice (optional, for marinating)

    Instructions:

    1. Sauté the Spinach:
In a skillet, heat a bit of olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Toss in the fresh spinach and sauté until wilted. Remove from heat and drain excess liquid by rolling the spinach in paper towels.

    2. Prepare the Chicken:
Slice a pocket into each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through. For easier stuffing, you can gently pound the chicken to an even thickness using a mallet. Season the inside and outside with salt and pepper.

    3. Stuff the Chicken:
Evenly divide the sautéed spinach and cheese between the two breasts. Gently stuff the pockets, pressing the filling in firmly. Secure the edges with toothpicks or kitchen string.

    4. Cook to Perfection:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the stuffed breasts in olive oil or butter for 5–7 minutes per side, until golden brown. For thick pieces, transfer them to a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

    5. Serve & Enjoy:
Remove any toothpicks or string before serving. Plate with garlic mashed potatoes, a side salad, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
