    Cheesy Seafood Lasagna with Shrimp & Crab

    Looking for the ultimate seafood comfort food recipe? This Seafood Lasagna with Shrimp and Crab is a decadent, creamy, and cheesy dish packed with ocean flavor. Tender shrimp, sweet crab meat, rich béchamel, and melty cheeses come together in perfect harmony—layered between soft lasagna noodles for a coastal Italian-inspired dinner that’s restaurant-worthy!

     

    Ingredients:

    12 lasagna noodles (cooked al dente)

    1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (medium or large)

    1 lb crab meat (lump or imitation)

    2 tablespoons butter

    3 cloves garlic, minced

    1 small onion, finely diced

    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    2½ cups whole milk (warm)

    ½ cup heavy cream

    1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

    1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or seafood seasoning)

    ½ teaspoon black pepper

    ½ teaspoon salt

    1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

    Optional: ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (for a little heat)

     

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat & Prep:
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

    2. Make the Creamy White Sauce:
    In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and onion; sauté until soft (about 3–4 minutes). Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux. Slowly whisk in warm milk and cream. Cook until thickened (5–6 minutes). Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, Old Bay seasoning, and optional red pepper flakes. Remove from heat.

    3. Cook the Seafood:
    In a skillet, sauté shrimp in a bit of olive oil or butter until just pink (2–3 minutes). Add crab meat and toss gently. Set aside.

    4. Layer the Lasagna:
    In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of white sauce. Add a layer of noodles, followed by some seafood mixture, mozzarella cheese, and more sauce. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with sauce and mozzarella on top.

    5. Bake:
    Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10–15 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

    6. Garnish & Serve:
    Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm. Perfect with garlic bread and a crisp green salad!
