Cheesy Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

Ingredients:
1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy, to your taste)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, thinly sliced (optional for flavor and color)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Directions:
Set oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully done. Drain any excess grease.
Combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and green onions (if using). Add salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into triangles.
Add a spoonful of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll tightly toward the tip, sealing the edges.
