    Cheesy Potato and Ground Beef Casserole Recipe

     

    This Cheesy Potato and Ground Beef Casserole is the ultimate comfort food, combining tender potato slices, savory ground beef, and gooey melted cheese. It’s a hearty and satisfying dish that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or feeding a crowd. The layers of potatoes and beef are infused with rich flavors from garlic, paprika, and tomato paste. Topped with cheddar and mozzarella, it bakes to golden perfection in just 35 minutes. Serve it fresh out of the oven and watch everyone come back for seconds!

    Ingredients:

    4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced

    500g ground beef

    1 medium onion, diced

    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

    1 cup beef broth

    1 tbsp tomato paste

    1 tsp garlic powder

    1/2 tsp paprika

    Salt and black pepper to taste

    2 tbsp olive oil

    Fresh parsley for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Potatoes:

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Boil the sliced potatoes in salted water until slightly tender, then drain and set aside.

    2. Cook the Ground Beef Mixture:

    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

    Sauté diced onion until softened. Add ground beef and cook until browned.

    Stir in tomato paste, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

    Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.

    3. Layer the Casserole:

    Grease a baking dish and layer half of the boiled potatoes on the bottom.

    Spread the beef mixture evenly over the potatoes.

    Top with the remaining potatoes and sprinkle with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.

    4. Bake to Perfection:

    Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

    Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, golden, and bubbly.

    5. Serve and Enjoy:

    Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
