Cheesy Philly Cheesesteak Hamburger Helper Skillet

Looking for an easy one-pot dinner idea that’s packed with flavor and ready in just 30 minutes? This Cheese Steak Hamburger Helper is the ultimate comfort food think Philly cheesesteak flavors with creamy, gooey cheese and tender macaroni, all made in a single skillet! Perfect for busy weeknights or when you’re craving a hearty, cheesy ground beef pasta dish.

    Ingredients You’ll Need:

    For the Cheesesteak Skillet:

    1 lb (450g) ground beef

    1 small onion, diced

1 small green bell pepper, diced

    2 garlic cloves, minced

    2 cups beef broth

    1 cup milk

    2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni

    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    ½ tsp salt

    ¼ tsp black pepper

    For the Three-Cheese Sauce:

    1 tbsp butter

    1 tbsp all-purpose flour

    1 cup shredded provolone cheese

    ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

    ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

    Instructions:

    1. Sauté the Base: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until almost browned. Add diced onion, green pepper, and garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes until vegetables are tender.

    2. Simmer & Cook Pasta: Add beef broth, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and uncooked macaroni. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is cooked and most of the liquid has absorbed.

    3. Make the Cheese Sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour. Cook for 1 minute, then gradually stir in milk (if needed) and all the cheeses. Mix until smooth, creamy, and melty.

    4. Combine Everything: Pour the cheese sauce into the skillet and mix well until everything is cheesy and well-coated. Let it simmer for 2 minutes on low to thicken.

    5. Serve It Up: Garnish with parsley or an extra sprinkle of shredded cheese. Serve hot and enjoy your homemade hamburger helper that’s better than the box!
