Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
½ cup breadcrumbs
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape into 12–15 meatballs and place them evenly in the baking dish.
Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs, coating them well.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until meatballs are fully cooked and cheese is melted and bubbly.
