Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 lb ground beef (or preferred ground meat)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Filling:
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, draining any excess fat.
Mix in tomato paste, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes to blend the flavors. Remove from heat and let cool.
2. Assemble the Roll:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll out thawed puff pastry on a floured surface.
Spread the cooled meat mixture evenly, leaving a 1-inch border.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the filling.
3. Roll and Seal:
Roll the pastry tightly into a log and seal the edges. Place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
