Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
12 oz pasta shells
2 cups marinara or tomato pasta sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp dried basil (optional)
Salt & black pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional garnish)
Directions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and dried basil.
Pour in the marinara or tomato sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
Add the cooked pasta shells into the sauce and toss well to coat.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top. Cover and let the cheese melt for 2–3 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley or basil. Serve hot and enjoy!
