    Cajun Fried Turkey Recipe

This Cajun Fried Turkey is the ultimate show-stopping main dish, featuring crispy golden skin, tender juicy meat, and bold Louisiana-style spices in every bite. Perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, family gatherings, and special occasions, this deep-fried turkey cooks faster than oven roasting and delivers unbeatable flavor.

    Ingredients:

1 whole turkey (10–14 lbs), fully thawed
    ½ cup Cajun seasoning
    ¼ cup garlic powder
    2 tbsp paprika
    2 tbsp onion powder
    1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp salt (optional, depending on Cajun seasoning)
    ½ cup melted butter
⅓ cup hot sauce (optional, for extra heat)
3–4 gallons peanut oil (for deep frying)

    Instructions:

Pat the turkey completely dry inside and out using paper towels. Remove giblets and ensure no moisture remains on the skin, which helps achieve extra crispy fried turkey skin.

    In a bowl, mix:
    Melted butter
    Hot sauce
    2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
Using a meat injector, inject the mixture into the breast, thighs, and legs. This step ensures the turkey stays juicy, flavorful, and tender from the inside out.

Rub the turkey generously (inside and outside) with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and salt if needed.
Let rest for at least 1 hour, or refrigerate overnight for deep Cajun flavor penetration.

In a large outdoor fryer, heat peanut oil to 350°F (175°C). Maintain a steady temperature using a thermometer.

Turn off the burner before lowering the turkey slowly into the oil.
Turn the burner back on and fry for 3–4 minutes per pound until beautifully golden and crispy.

The turkey is fully cooked when it reaches:
    165°F (74°C) in the breast
    175–180°F (80–82°C) in the thighs

Let the turkey rest for 20–30 minutes before carving. Serve hot and enjoy the crispiest, juiciest Cajun fried turkey ever.
