    These Butter Pecan Donuts are the perfect blend of soft, fluffy dough with warm autumn spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Topped with a rich butter pecan glaze, these donuts are a delightful treat for any cozy morning or afternoon snack. The toasted pecans add a delicious crunch to every bite. Quick and easy to make, this recipe is ideal for fall baking. Enjoy the sweet, nutty flavors with family and friends!

    Ingredients:

    For the Donuts:

    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    1/2 cup granulated sugar

    1/2 tsp baking powder

    1/2 tsp baking soda

    1/4 tsp salt

    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

    1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

    1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

    1/2 cup buttermilk

    1 large egg

    1 tsp vanilla extract

    1/2 cup toasted chopped pecans

    For the Butter Pecan Glaze:

    1/2 cup unsalted butter

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    2 tbsp heavy cream

    1/2 tsp vanilla extract

    Pinch of salt

    Extra chopped pecans for garnish (optional)

    Directions:

    Step 1: Preheat the Oven
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.

    Step 2: Make the Donut Batter

    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

    In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract.

    Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the toasted pecans.

    Step 3: Fill and Bake

    Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity 2/3 full.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

    Allow the donuts to cool on a wire rack.

    Step 4: Prepare the Butter Pecan Glaze

    In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

    Add brown sugar and stir until it bubbles.

    Pour in heavy cream and cook for 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from heat, add vanilla, and a pinch of salt.

    Step 5: Glaze and Garnish
    Dip cooled donuts into the butter pecan glaze, and sprinkle additional chopped pecans if desired. Allow the glaze to set.

    Total Time: 25 minutes
    Servings: 12 donuts
