    Bourbon Chicken with Broccoli Recipe

This Bourbon Chicken with Broccoli recipe combines tender chicken in a sweet and savory sauce with crisp broccoli, making it a delicious and easy dinner option. Using apple juice adds a subtle bourbon-like flavor without alcohol, making it family-friendly. The sauce is a blend of honey, soy, and garlic, giving it a rich, balanced taste. Serve over rice for a satisfying, complete meal. Perfect for anyone craving Asian-inspired flavors at home!

    Ingredients:

    For the Chicken:

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)

    Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp cornstarch (for crispy coating)

2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

    For the Bourbon Sauce:

1/4 cup apple juice (for a bourbon-inspired flavor)

    1/4 cup honey (for sweetness)

    1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

    2 tbsp ketchup

    2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a little kick)

    1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

    1 tbsp brown sugar

    For the Broccoli:

    2 cups broccoli florets

1 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then coat with cornstarch for a light, crispy texture.

    2. Cook the Chicken

Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in batches, cooking until golden brown on all sides and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from skillet and set aside.

    3. Make the Bourbon Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together the apple juice, honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar until well-combined.

    4. Combine Chicken with Sauce

Add the chicken back to the skillet and pour the sauce over it. Simmer for 10-12 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.

    5. Sauté the Broccoli

In a separate pan, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Add the broccoli florets, season lightly with salt, and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.

    6. Serve

Serve the Bourbon Chicken over rice, garnished with broccoli on the side. Spoon extra sauce over the chicken and broccoli for added flavor!

    Perfect Pairing

This easy Bourbon Chicken with Broccoli recipe is a family favorite with rich, savory flavors and a touch of sweetness. Pair with steamed rice or noodles for a filling meal. Enjoy the ultimate balance of tender chicken, sweet sauce, and crisp broccoli!
