    Ingredients for Butterscotch Cheesecake:

    – 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted

    For the cheesecake:
    – 16 ounces (1 package) cream cheese, softened
    – 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    – 4 large eggs, separated
    – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    – 1 cup butterscotch sauce (homemade or store-bought)

    For the butterscotch sauce:
    – 1 cup heavy cream
    – 1/2 cup brown sugar
    – 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Instructions for Butterscotch Cheesecake:

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
    2. Prepare the crust: Mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until well combined. Press the mixture into a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside.
    3. **Prepare the cheesecake filling**: Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add granulated sugar and beat until combined. Beat in eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
    4. Add butterscotch sauce: Pour in the butterscotch sauce and mix until well combined.

    7. **Prepare the butterscotch sauce**: In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla extract. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.

    9. **Refrigerate** the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
