Lemon Brownies
Zesty Lemon Blondies with a Tangy Glaze
Ingredients:
For the Brownies:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Additional lemon zest for garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and salt.
Add butter, eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Beat until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
Cool in the pan.
For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
Pour the glaze over the cooled brownies and spread evenly.
Garnish with additional lemon zest.
Cut into squares and serve.
