French Onion Ground Beef and Rice Casserole

Looking for a quick, hearty, and cheesy dinner the whole family will love? This French Onion Ground Beef and Rice Casserole is packed with flavor, protein, and simple ingredients. Perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep!

    Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef (high-protein, rich in iron)
1 large onion, sliced (loaded with antioxidants)
2 cups cooked white rice (energy-boosting carbs)
1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup (savory and flavorful)
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (calcium-rich and melty)
1 tbsp olive oil (heart-healthy fat)
    1 tsp garlic powder (immune-boosting)
    Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (vitamin-packed and fresh flavor)

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
Add sliced onions and cook 5-7 minutes until caramelized and soft.
Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then pour in French onion soup. Simmer 2-3 minutes for the flavors to meld.
In a greased baking dish, layer cooked rice and top with the beef and onion mixture.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and bake 15-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
