    Spaghetti with Ground Beef and Smoked Sausage

    – 400g spaghetti
    – 300g ground beef
    – 200g smoked sausage (Montbéliard, smoked merguez, or mild chorizo)
    – 1 medium yellow onion
    – 2 cloves garlic
    – 400g canned chopped tomatoes
    – 2 tbsp tomato paste
    – 2 tbsp olive oil
    – 1 tsp dried oregano
    – 1 tsp 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    – 1 pinch sweet chili flakes (optional)
    – Salt and freshly ground pepper
    – Fresh basil leaves
    – Grated Parmesan cheese (optional but recommended)

    Preparation:

    1. Prepare the ingredients

    Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic, and slice the smoked sausage.

    2. Brown the meat

    In a pan, heat the olive oil. Sauté the onion for 3 to 4 minutes, then add the garlic and sausage. Let it brown for 5 minutes before adding the ground beef. Cook until well browned.

    3. Prepare the sauce

    Stir in the tomato paste, then the crushed tomatoes. Add the spices: oregano, paprika, sweet chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes over low heat to obtain a smooth and flavorful sauce.

    4. Cook the pasta

    Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to the package instructions (al dente). Drain, reserving some of the cooking water.

    5. Toss and serve

    Toss the spaghetti with the sauce in the pan, adding a little of the reserved cooking water if needed, then serve hot with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
