    Beef and Asparagus Pasta Recipe

    Looking for a quick and delicious weeknight dinner? This Beef and Asparagus Pasta is the perfect combination of tender steak, fresh asparagus, and creamy pasta tossed in a savory garlic Parmesan sauce. It’s a flavorful and comforting pasta dish the whole family will love.

     

    Ingredients:

    For the Beef:

    1 lb (450 g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

    2 tablespoons soy sauce

    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

    For the Pasta and Sauce:

    12 oz (340 g) pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)

    2 tablespoons olive oil, divided

    2 garlic cloves, minced

    1 medium onion, thinly sliced

    1 bunch fresh asparagus (about 1 lb / 450 g), trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

    1 cup beef broth (240 ml)

    1/2 cup heavy cream (120 ml)

    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (30 g)

    1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

    1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

    Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

    Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

     

    Directions:

    In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15–20 minutes for extra flavor.

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

    Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and tender. Remove from skillet and set aside.

    In the same skillet, heat the remaining olive oil. Add garlic and onion, sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant. Add asparagus and cook for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.

    Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Let it cook for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

    Add the cooked pasta and beef back into the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated. Add a splash of pasta water if needed for extra creaminess.

    Top with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese. Serve warm and enjoy your homemade creamy beef and asparagus pasta!
