A delicious and comforting chicken dinner recipe featuring golden pan-seared chicken breasts smothered in a rich garlic Parmesan mushroom cream sauce. Perfect for an easy weeknight meal or a restaurant-style family dinner at home!

 

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

 

Directions:

1. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

2. Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, pressing lightly so it sticks.

3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add mushrooms and sauté 3–4 minutes until soft.

5. Stir in heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and cook 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Mix in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Return chicken to skillet, spoon creamy Parmesan mushroom sauce over the top, and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

7. Sprinkle with thyme and parsley, then serve hot over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
