    Ultimate Creamy Black Pepper Chicken Bowl with Crispy Brussels Sprouts & Buttery Mashed Potatoes

     

    Indulge in this restaurant-style creamy black pepper chicken recipe tender, juicy chicken breast coated in a rich, peppery cream sauce, paired with crispy roasted Brussels sprouts and fluffy buttery mashed potatoes. Perfect for a cozy dinner or an impressive date night meal!

    Ingredients:

    For the Chicken

    2 skinless chicken breasts

    2 tbsp olive oil

    1 tsp garlic powder

    ½ tsp smoked paprika

    Salt & freshly ground black pepper

    For the Creamy Black Pepper Sauce

    1 cup heavy cream

    1 tbsp Dijon mustard

    1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper

    2 cloves fresh garlic, minced

    1 tbsp butter

    For the Sides

    2 cups Brussels sprouts, halved

    2 cups creamy mashed potatoes

    1 tbsp olive oil

    Salt & pepper to taste

     

    Instructions

    1. Cook the Chicken:
    Rub chicken breasts with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and pan-sear until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.

    2. Make the Creamy Black Pepper Sauce:
    In another pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and cracked black pepper. Simmer until the sauce thickens into a velvety consistency.

    3. Roast the Brussels Sprouts:
    Toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes until crispy and caramelized.

    4. Assemble the Bowl:
    Spoon creamy mashed potatoes into bowls, layer with sliced chicken, drizzle generously with black pepper cream sauce, and serve with roasted Brussels sprouts on the side.

     

    Notes & Tips

    Swap chicken for tofu, shrimp, or turkey for variation.

    Stir in grated Parmesan for a cheesy twist.

    Top mashed potatoes with fresh chives or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
