Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings Recipe
Looking for the ultimate party appetizer or game day snack? These Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings are bold, spicy, and full of Caribbean flavor. Made with a zesty jerk marinade, they’re perfect for anyone who loves crispy oven-baked wings with a fiery kick.
Ingredients for Spicy Jamaican Jerk Wings:
2 lbs chicken wings
2 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
2 tablespoons honey (optional for sweet heat)
Juice of 1 lime
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, jerk seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and honey (if using) to create the bold Jamaican marinade.
3. Add chicken wings and toss well to coat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 8 hours) in the fridge for maximum Caribbean flavor.
4. Arrange wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until wings are golden brown, crispy, and cooked to perfection (internal temp: 165°F).
6. Garnish with extra lime wedges or chopped scallions if desired.
