Hearty Old-Fashioned Chili Mac Recipe

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional but delicious!)
Instructions:
1. In a large skillet or deep pot, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
2. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chili powder, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
3. Add in the elbow macaroni and 2 cups of water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 12–15 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked and tender.
4. If desired, stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
