1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

For the Creamy Mushroom Gravy:
1 tbsp butter
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Salt & pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Salisbury Steaks:
In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Form into 4 oval-shaped patties.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
Make the Mushroom Gravy:
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until golden brown.
Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard, stirring well.
Reduce heat to low and add heavy cream for a rich, velvety texture.
If you prefer a thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir it in.
Season with salt & pepper to taste.
Combine & Serve:
Return the Salisbury steaks to the skillet, spooning the mushroom gravy over the top.
Let simmer for 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.
