Slow Cooker Swedish Meatballs
Craving a hearty, creamy dinner? These Slow Cooker Swedish Meatballs are rich, flavorful, and easy to make! Tender meatballs slow-cooked in a luscious, spiced cream sauce perfect over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
26 oz frozen meatballs (precooked)
4 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Dash of allspice
Dash of nutmeg
Salt & pepper to taste
Cooked egg noodles (for serving)
Instructions:
Prepare the Slow Cooker: Spray with non-stick cooking spray and add the frozen meatballs.
Make the Sauce: In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour to form a paste. Gradually stir in beef broth and heavy cream.
Season: Add Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, allspice, and nutmeg. Simmer until the sauce thickens. Season with salt & pepper.
Slow Cook: Pour the sauce over the meatballs, cover, and cook:
HIGH for 2 hours OR
LOW for 4-5 hours
Serve & Enjoy! Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over egg noodles or creamy mashed potatoes.
