    Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy

     

    Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy

     

    This Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak is the ultimate comfort food, combining tender beef patties with a rich, savory mushroom gravy. Made with ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, and a variety of flavorful seasonings, this dish is both easy and delicious. Simply cook in the slow cooker for a hassle-free, juicy meal perfect for family dinner. Serve with fresh parsley for a burst of color and flavor. Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak is a must-try for a satisfying, cozy meal!

    Ingredients:

    1 tablespoon olive oil

    2 lbs ground beef (90% lean for juicy patties)

    1 egg

    1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

    1/4 cup milk

    1 teaspoon onion powder

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    8 ounces sliced mushrooms

    1 small onion, sliced

    12 oz container beef gravy

    1/2 cup beef broth

    1 tablespoon cornstarch

    2 tablespoons water

    2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

    Instructions:

    1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, panko breadcrumbs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly, then shape the mixture into 6 patties.

    2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Brown the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden and crispy.

    3. Place sliced mushrooms and onions in the bottom of your slow cooker. Arrange the patties on top.

    4. Pour the beef gravy and beef broth into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the patties to become tender.

    5. Once cooking is complete, remove the patties from the slow cooker and keep warm.

    6. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water. Pour this mixture into the slow cooker, turning it to HIGH. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

    7. Serve the Salisbury steaks with the rich, savory gravy spooned over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley for a burst of flavor and color.

    Notes:

    For the best flavor and texture, use 90% lean ground beef. Avoid leaner cuts to ensure your patties stay juicy.

    To save time, prep the meat mixture and brown the patties the night before, making this easy slow cooker recipe perfect for busy days.
