    Zesty Chili Beef & Shrimp Noodle Stir-Fry

     

    Zesty Chili Beef & Shrimp Noodle Stir-Fry

     

    This Zesty Chili Beef & Shrimp Noodle Stir-Fry is a perfect blend of bold flavors, combining tender flank steak and juicy shrimp with a sweet and spicy sauce. Quick to prepare, it’s ideal for a weeknight dinner or a special meal. The combination of crispy steak, succulent shrimp, and stir-fried noodles creates a satisfying, restaurant-quality dish at home. With the right balance of sweet chili and heat from chili crisps, it’s a recipe sure to impress. Garnish with green onions for a fresh finish!

    Ingredients:

    3/4 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

    1 egg

    5 tbsp cornstarch

    1/4 tsp black pepper

    7 tbsp vegetable oil, divided

    5 tbsp soy sauce

    3 tbsp brown sugar

    3 tbsp ketchup

    4 tbsp sweet chili sauce

    1 tbsp chili crisps or chili flakes

    2 tbsp tomato paste

    10-12 raw shrimp, deveined, tail-off

    1/2 cup onion slices

    1/3 cup carrot matchsticks

    4-6 oz cooked stir-fry noodles, lightly oiled

    Green onions, for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. In a bowl, coat the flank steak slices in the beaten egg, ensuring even coverage.

    2. Mix cornstarch and black pepper with the steak, making sure each piece is well-coated.

    3. Heat 5 tbsp of vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Fry the steak in small batches until crispy, then set aside.

    4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, sweet chili sauce, tomato paste, and chili crisps for the zesty sauce.

    5. In a separate pan, heat the remaining 2 tbsp of oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook for about 4 minutes until softened.

    6. Add the carrot matchsticks and cook for an additional minute.

    7. Pour the sauce into the pan, mixing in the shrimp and crispy steak. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp are fully cooked.

    8. Add the cooked noodles to the pan, tossing everything to coat well in the zesty sauce and heat through.

    9. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot. For extra spice, sprinkle more chili flakes on top.
