This Greek Beef Gyros with Tzatziki Sauce recipe combines lean proteins, heart-healthy olive oil, and fresh vegetables for a nutritious and flavorful meal. The rich, probiotic-packed tzatziki sauce supports digestive health, while the grilled beef provides essential nutrients for maintaining a balanced diet. Perfect for those managing weight or cholesterol, this Mediterranean dish is both delicious and health-conscious, contributing to overall wellness.

    Ingredients:

    For the Gyros:

1 lb (450g) boneless beef, thinly sliced

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    2 teaspoons dried oregano

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    Salt and pepper, to taste

Pita bread, for serving (whole wheat recommended)

Sliced tomatoes, red onion, and lettuce, for garnish

    For the Tzatziki Sauce:

    1 cup Greek yogurt

    1/2 cucumber, grated and drained

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1 tablespoon olive oil

    1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

    Salt and pepper, to taste

    Fresh dill or mint (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. Make the Tzatziki Sauce:
In a bowl, mix together Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate while preparing the gyros.
