    TREMENDOUS SPICY SCALLOP AND SHRIMP LINGUINE

     

    This Spicy Scallop and Shrimp Linguine is a perfect blend of bold flavors and creamy textures. Tender sea scallops and shrimp are cooked to perfection, then tossed with al dente linguine in a spicy garlic and red pepper flake cream sauce. Fresh cherry tomatoes and parsley add a burst of color and freshness, while Parmesan cheese gives it a rich finish. Served with a squeeze of lemon, this seafood pasta is both indulgent and satisfying. It’s a restaurant-quality dish you can easily prepare at home!

    Ingredients:

    8 oz linguine

    1 tbsp olive oil

    1 lb sea scallops

    1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

    4 cloves garlic, minced

    1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

    1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

    1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth

    1/2 cup heavy cream

    1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Lemon wedges (for serving)

    Instructions:

    Cook the Linguine:
    Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the Seafood:
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the scallops and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

    Make the Sauce:
    In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed and sauté the minced garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to soften, about 2-3 minutes. Pour in the white wine or chicken broth, and cook for 2 minutes to reduce slightly. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

    Combine:
    Return the scallops and shrimp to the skillet, and add the cooked linguine. Toss to coat the pasta and seafood in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.

    Serve:
    Serve the spicy scallop and shrimp linguine hot with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor. This dish offers a delightful combination of spicy seafood and creamy pasta, perfect for a flavorful meal!
