Lazy Chicken Curry Recipe in Minutes: A Quick and Delicious Dish
If you’re craving a hearty and easy curry, this Lazy Chicken Curry is the perfect go-to recipe. This dish has been a family favorite, inspired by my mum’s homemade version. Whether you’re cooking for a crowd or just a small gathering, this recipe is super flexible and packed with flavor!
Ingredients:
3 large chicken breasts (I get mine fresh from the butcher)
1 small box of mushrooms
2 onions, diced
2 jars of chicken tikka sauce
2 jars of chicken korma sauce
Instructions:
1. Start by frying the chicken breasts until they’re golden brown on all sides.
2. Add the diced onions and mushrooms, letting them soften in the same pan.
3. In a slow cooker, mix the fried chicken, onions, and mushrooms with both jars of chicken tikka and korma sauces.
4. Set the slow cooker to low and let the curry simmer all day. This allows the flavors to fully blend and the chicken to become tender.
5. Serve over rice or with naan for a hearty meal.
This recipe makes a large batch since I’m cooking for a few people today.
If you’re only cooking for two, feel free to reduce it to just 1 jar of chicken tikka and 1 jar of chicken korma sauce. It’s a chunky curry that can be easily customized – cut the chicken into smaller pieces or adjust the sauce to your liking.
Tip: This easy chicken curry recipe is perfect for meal prep, and leftovers taste even better the next day!
