    This Ground Beef and Gravy on Mashed Potatoes recipe is the epitome of comfort food, combining savory, seasoned beef with rich, creamy mashed potatoes. Perfect for a cozy dinner, it’s a dish that brings warmth and satisfaction with every bite. The homemade gravy, infused with onions, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce, elevates the flavor to new heights. Simple yet hearty, this classic meal is a family favorite that never fails to please.     Ingredients:

    – 1 lb ground beef
    – 2 tbsp olive oil
    – 1 medium onion, finely chopped
    – 2 cloves garlic, minced
    – 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
    – 2 cups beef broth
    – 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    – Salt and pepper to taste
    – 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
    – 1/2 cup milk
    – 1/4 cup butter
    – Salt and pepper to taste
    – Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until aromatic.

    2. Brown the Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat to keep the dish light.

    3. Create the Gravy: Sprinkle all-purpose flour over the browned beef and stir well to incorporate. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste. Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the gravy thickens to your liking.

    4. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: While the beef and gravy are simmering, place the peeled and cubed potatoes in a large pot. Cover them with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Drain the water, then return the potatoes to the pot.

    5. Mash the Potatoes: Add milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the cooked potatoes. Mash until the mixture is smooth and creamy, adjusting seasoning as needed.

    6. Serve: Spoon the rich, savory ground beef and gravy over the creamy mashed potatoes. For an extra touch, garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
