Steak & Shrimp Noodles with Flavorful Sauce
Sauce:
– 1/4 cup oyster sauce
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 tsp sesame oil
– 1 tbsp rice vinegar
– 1 tsp cornstarch
– 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 1/2 tsp garlic chili sauce (for some heat)in
Instructions:
1. Sauté Veggies: Sauté bell peppers and onions in oil over medium heat until soft and slightly charred.
2. Noodles: Use refrigerated chow mein noodles. Toss them in the sauce over medium heat until the sauce thickens. Add the sautéed onions and peppers to the noodles.
Shrimp:
– Seasoning: Salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, and olive oil.
– Cooking: Cook over medium-high heat with a little oil for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp form a nice C shape.
Steak:
– Seasoning: Cracked sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder.
– Cooking: Cook NY strip steak over medium-high heat in a cast iron skillet with a little oil for approximately 3 minutes on each side to get a sear. Reduce heat to medium, add garlic herb butter, and baste with a spoon. Cook to preferred doneness using a meat thermometer to check internal temperature.
Additional Toppings:
– Soft-Boiled Egg: Add a soft-boiled egg.
– Butter Drizzle: Melt butter over low heat and add salt, pepper, garlic, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and herbs. Drizzle over the dish.
