    Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken and Green Beans Recipe

     

    Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken and Green Beans Recipe

    Ingredients:
    For the Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken:
    – 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    – Salt and pepper, to taste
    – 2 tablespoons olive oil
    – 4 cloves garlic, minced
    – 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    – 1 teaspoon dried thyme
    – 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    – Zest and juice of 1 lemon
    – 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
    – Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

    For the Green Beans:
    – 1 lb (450g) fresh green beans, trimmed
    – Salt, to taste
    – 2 tablespoons olive oil
    – 2 cloves garlic, minced
    – Juice of 1/2 lemon
    – Salt and pepper, to taste

    Instructions:

    Prepare the Chicken:
    1. Season the Chicken Breasts: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
    2. **Cook the Chicken:** In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

    Make the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce:
    1. Sauté the Garlic and Herbs: In the same skillet, add minced garlic, dried oregano, dried thyme, and paprika. Sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
    2. Add Lemon Zest and Juice: Add lemon zest and juice to the skillet, stirring to combine.
    3. Incorporate the Butter: Reduce the heat to low and add the butter to the skillet, stirring until melted and incorporated into the sauce.
    4. Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the lemon garlic butter sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

    Prepare the Green Beans:
    1. Blanch the Green Beans: While the chicken is cooking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the trimmed green beans and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are crisp-tender. Drain the green beans and set aside.
    2. Sauté the Garlic: In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
    3. Finish the Green Beans: Add the blanched green beans to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, then add the lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Toss to combine.

    Serve:
    Serve the lemon garlic butter chicken hot, garnished with fresh parsley, alongside the flavorful green beans.
