    Stuffed Potatoes with Cheese and Herbs

    Discover our recipe for cheese-stuffed potatoes, a delicious and easy dish that will delight the whole family. These herb-crusted potatoes are meltingly tender, flavorful, and perfect for a comforting dinner or a tasty side dish.

    Serves: 4

    Preparation: 20 minutes
    Cooking: 40 minutes

    Ingredients:

    – 4 large potatoes (ideal for stuffing)
    – 20 g butter
    – 3 tbsp crème fraîche
    – 80 g grated cheese (Emmental, Comté, or Cheddar)
    – 60 g fresh goat cheese (or ricotta for a milder version)
    – 1 tbsp 1 tablespoon chopped chives
    – 1 minced garlic clove (optional)
    – Salt and pepper
    – 1 drizzle of olive oil

    Preparation:

    Cook the potatoes

    – Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

    – Wash the potatoes without peeling them and cook them for 20 minutes in boiling water or 30 minutes in the oven.

    Prepare the potato shells

    – Cut the potatoes in half.

    – Carefully scoop out the flesh, leaving a 0.5 cm (¼ inch) border.

    – Set aside the scooped-out potato flesh for the filling.

    Prepare the cheese and herb filling

    – Mash the scooped-out potato flesh.

    – Add butter, crème fraîche, grated cheese, goat cheese, garlic, salt, pepper, and chives.

    – Mix until smooth.

    Stuffing and Gratin

    – Fill each potato shell with the stuffing.

    – Arrange on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with grated cheese.

    Final Baking

    – Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

    – Serve hot with fresh chives.

    Tips and Variations:

    – Steaming: faster and results in a softer texture.

    – Cheese Variation: replace the goat cheese with ricotta or a herbed cream cheese.

    – Perfect Gratin: broil for 2 minutes for a golden crust.
