    Creamy New Orleans Shrimp and Corn Bisque Recipe

    Bring the rich flavors of the South straight to your kitchen with this Creamy New Orleans Shrimp and Corn Bisque. Packed with fresh shrimp, sweet corn, Cajun spices, and a velvety cream base, this cozy bisque is the ultimate bowl of Southern comfort. Perfect for family dinners, special occasions, or anytime you crave hearty comfort food!

    Ingredients:

    2 tbsp butter or vegetable oil
    1 onion, diced
    1 bell pepper, diced
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 tsp Cajun seasoning
    3 cups fresh or frozen corn
    4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
    1 cup heavy cream
    1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
    Salt & black pepper, to taste
    Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Instructions:

    Sauté the aromatics In a large pot, melt butter (or heat oil). Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened and fragrant.
    Season and add corn Stir in Cajun seasoning and corn. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
    Simmer with broth Pour in the broth and let the soup simmer for 10 minutes.
    Blend for creaminess Transfer half of the bisque to a blender, puree, then return it to the pot for a rich and creamy texture.
    Add shrimp and cream Stir in heavy cream and shrimp. Cook for 5–6 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
    Garnish and serve Season with salt and pepper, top with fresh parsley, and serve hot with crusty bread.
