    Ingredients:

    1 large onion, finely chopped

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1 tablespoon olive oil

    2 pounds ground beef

    2 large eggs

    3/4 cup breadcrumbs

    1/4 cup milk

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    2 cups beef broth

    1 cup sour cream

    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

    Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

    Instructions:

    1. Sauté Aromatics: In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté the onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.

    2. Prepare the Meatball Mixture: To the bowl, add ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg. Mix gently until just combined—avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender.

    3. Form Meatballs: Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and arrange them in the slow cooker.

    4. Make the Sauce Base: In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth and flour until smooth. Pour the mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker.

    5. Cook: Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat. Let the meatballs cook for 6 hours, ensuring they are tender and fully cooked.

    6. Finish the Sauce: In the last 30 minutes, add sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard to the slow cooker. Gently stir to combine and cook until heated through.

    7. Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve the creamy Swedish meatballs over egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice for a satisfying meal.
