    scrumptious Cheddar & Chive Soufflés

     

    Looking for a cheesy and savory delight? Dive into these scrumptious Cheddar & Chive Soufflés that are bound to elevate your taste buds to cloud nine!

    Ingredients:

    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup whole milk
    • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
    • 4 large eggs, separated
    • 1/4 cup fresh chives, finely chopped
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions:

    . Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and lightly flour four ramekins.
    . In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about a minute until it forms a paste.
    . Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
    . Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until it’s completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
    . In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks and fold them into the cheese mixture along with the chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper.
    . In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the cheese mixture, being careful not to deflate them.
    . Divide the mixture evenly among the prepared ramekins.
    . Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the soufflés are puffed up and golden brown on top.

    . Serve immediately and enjoy the cheesy goodness!
