Ingredients:
6-8 large sea scallops
1 cup mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Sear the Scallops
Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the scallops for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the Mushrooms
In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter.
Add mushrooms and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.
Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.
Make the Creamy Cheese Sauce
Pour in heavy cream and let it warm up gently.
Stir in Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth.

Assemble the Gratin
Transfer the mushroom-cream mixture to a small oven-safe dish.
Arrange the seared scallops on top.
Sprinkle Gruyère cheese over the dish.
Bake Until Golden & Bubbly
Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
