Savory Shrimp & Steak Fried Rice

This Shrimp & Steak Fried Rice is a delightful fusion of juicy shrimp, tender steak, and flavorful veggies, all stir-fried with day-old rice for that perfect texture. Infused with garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil, each bite is packed with rich, savory goodness. Quick to make in just one pan, it’s ideal for busy weeknights when you want a deliciously hearty meal. The scrambled eggs add a soft richness, while green onions bring a refreshing finish. Perfect for anyone craving restaurant-quality fried rice at home!

    Ingredients:

1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

    1/2 lb steak, thinly sliced

3 cups cooked rice (day-old preferred)

    2 tbsp soy sauce

    2 tbsp sesame oil

    1 tbsp vegetable oil

    3 cloves garlic, minced

    1 onion, chopped

1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed

    2 eggs, lightly beaten

    2 green onions, chopped

    Preparation:

Step 1: Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak, seasoning with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Step 2: In the same skillet, cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and fully cooked. Remove the shrimp and set aside.

Step 3: Add 2 tbsp of sesame oil to the skillet. When hot, sauté the garlic and onion for about 3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.

Step 4: Add the peas and carrots, stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender and warmed through.

Step 5: Push the vegetables aside to make room for the eggs. Pour in the beaten eggs, scrambling for 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.

Step 6: Add the day-old cooked rice, tossing with the vegetables and eggs. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, to break up any clumps and make the rice slightly crispy.

Step 7: Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet. Stir gently to combine.

Step 8: Drizzle 2 tbsp soy sauce over the fried rice, stirring everything together. Cook for 2-3 more minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Step 9: Garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh, vibrant finish. Enjoy your savory Shrimp & Steak Fried Rice, perfect for a restaurant-style meal at home!
