These Roasted Parmesan Creamed Onions are rich, savory, and bursting with flavor! Perfect as a side dish for family dinners, holiday meals, or cozy weeknights. The sweet caramelized onions paired with creamy Parmesan sauce create a melt-in-your-mouth experience.

    Ingredients:

6 medium-sized onions, peeled and halved

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    1 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    1 cup heavy cream

    1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)

    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

    Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

    2. Prepare the onions: Arrange the peeled and halved onions in a single layer in a large baking dish.

    3. Season and roast: Drizzle the onions with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly. Roast for 25–30 minutes until tender and caramelized.

    4. Make the creamy sauce: While the onions are roasting, combine the heavy cream, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, thyme, and nutmeg in a mixing bowl.

    5. Add the sauce: Pour the creamy Parmesan mixture over the roasted onions.

    6. Bake: Return the dish to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes or until the sauce is bubbly and the tops are golden brown.

    7. Cool and serve: Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy the rich, creamy goodness!

    Variations & Tips:

For a lighter option, swap heavy cream with half-and-half.
Try milder cheeses like mozzarella or Gouda for a different flavor profile.
Add chopped spinach or kale for extra greens.
Sprinkle red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
Experiment with fresh herbs like rosemary or sage for added depth.

Perfect for holiday dinners, potlucks, or Sunday meals! These creamy Parmesan onions are guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.
