Perfectly Cooked Steak and Baked Potato Recipe

Experience the perfect pairing of a succulent steak and a perfectly baked potato tonight! How do you like your steak cooked?

    Ingredients:

    For the steak:
    – 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
    – 2 tablespoons olive oil
    – Salt and pepper to taste
    – 2 cloves garlic, minced
    – 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
    – 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
    – 1 tablespoon butter

    For the baked potatoes:
    – 2 large russet potatoes
    – 2 tablespoons olive oil
    – Salt to taste
    – 1/2 cup sour cream
    – 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    – 2 tablespoons chopped chives
    – 2 tablespoons butter

    Directions:

    1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash the potatoes, dry them, and rub with olive oil and salt. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until tender.
    2. While the potatoes are baking, season the steaks with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
    3. In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, and butter to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter and herbs over the steaks.
    4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.
    5. Once the potatoes are done, cut them open and fluff the insides with a fork. Top with butter, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped chives.
    6. Serve the steaks with the baked potatoes on the side.
