    This Pepper Steak Pie is a savory delight, combining tender beef, vibrant bell peppers, and a rich, flavorful sauce all wrapped in a flaky puff pastry. It’s an easy-to-make comfort food that’s perfect for a hearty dinner. Whether served with mashed potatoes or a crisp salad, this dish is sure to satisfy. Ideal for family meals or special occasions!

    Ingredients:
    – 1.5 lbs beef sirloin or steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
    – 2 tbsp olive oil
    – 1 large onion, chopped
    – 2 cloves garlic, minced
    – 1 red bell pepper, chopped
    – 1 green bell pepper, chopped
    – 2 cups beef broth
    – 1/2 cup soy sauce
    – 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    – 2 tbsp cornstarch
    – 1/4 cup water
    – 1 tsp black pepper
    – 1 tsp salt
    – 1 tsp dried thyme
    – 1 tsp paprika
    – 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
    – 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat Your Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef pieces and cook until they are nicely browned on all sides. Once browned, remove the beef and set it aside.

    3. Cook the Vegetables: Using the same skillet, add the chopped onion, garlic, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. Sauté the vegetables until they are soft and aromatic.

    4. Make the Sauce: Pour the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce into the skillet with the vegetables. Season with black pepper, salt, thyme, and paprika. Stir the mixture and bring it to a simmer.

    5. Thicken the Sauce: Mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl to form a slurry. Gradually add the slurry to the simmering sauce, stirring constantly until it thickens.

    6. Combine Beef and Sauce: Return the browned beef to the skillet, mixing it with the sauce and vegetables. Let everything cook together for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

    7. Assemble the Pie: Pour the beef and vegetable mixture into a pie dish. Lay the puff pastry over the top, trimming any excess. Press the edges of the pastry against the dish to seal, and make a few slits on the top to let steam escape during baking.

    8. Apply Egg Wash: Brush the puff pastry with the beaten egg to give it a beautiful golden-brown finish.

    9. Bake: Place the pie in your preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.

    10. Cool and Serve: Let the Pepper Steak Pie rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy this savory dish with your favorite sides!
