    Cook Time: 15 minutes

    Servings: 4

    Calories per Serving: ~520 kcal

    Ingredients for Mongolian Beef:

    For the Beef:

500g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

    2 tbsp cornstarch

    1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame) for frying

    For the Savory Sauce:

    3 tbsp soy sauce

    2 tbsp hoisin sauce

    2 tbsp brown sugar

    2 tbsp water

    2 garlic cloves, minced

    1 tsp fresh grated ginger

1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)

    Stir-Fry Vegetables:

    1 red bell pepper, sliced

    1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

    1 small onion, chopped

How to Make Mongolian Beef Stir-Fry:

    1. Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, toss the thinly sliced beef with cornstarch and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes to tenderize.

    2. Cook the Beef:
Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef in batches until browned and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.

    3. Sauté the Veggies:
In the same pan, add onions and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until just tender but still vibrant.

    4. Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, water, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes. Pour into the pan and bring to a simmer.

    5. Combine & Serve:
Return the beef to the pan and toss everything together until evenly coated in the rich, glossy sauce. Serve hot over steamed jasmine rice or noodles.

Pro Tips for the Best Stir-Fry:

Garnish with toasted sesame seeds or chopped green onions for added crunch and flavor.

Love spice? Drizzle on some sriracha or add fresh chili slices.

Swap beef for chicken or tofu for a versatile, protein-packed twist.
