½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt & black pepper, to taste
For the Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
⅓ cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp dried basil (or Italian seasoning)
½ cup fresh spinach, chopped
Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Salmon:
Pat fresh salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Sear the Salmon:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the salmon fillets for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream, chicken broth, and grated Parmesan. Stir well until smooth and slightly thickened.
Add the Flavor Boost:
Stir in red pepper flakes, sun-dried tomatoes, and dried basil. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Finish the Dish:
Add fresh spinach and stir until wilted.
Return the pan-seared salmon to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the fillets. Let simmer for 2 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Serve & Enjoy:
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
Serve warm over mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up that creamy sauce!
