Grandma’s Flan Pie Recipe: A Sweet Treat and a Healthy Lifestyle

Grandma’s Flan Pie is a classic dessert made with simple ingredients like eggs, sugar, milk, and a buttery pastry crust. Its creamy texture and vanilla flavor make it a perfect sweet treat for any occasion. Baked to golden perfection with a caramelized sugar topping, it’s a comforting dish that reminds you of home. While indulging in this pie, balance it with a healthy lifestyle supported by your health insurance’s wellness programs. Enjoy a slice in moderation, knowing you can stay healthy with the right nutritional guidance!

    Ingredients:

    1 roll of broken pastry

    3 eggs

    100 g of sugar

    1 bag of vanilla sugar

    80 g of flour

    1 liter of milk

    2 tablespoons of brown sugar

    Butter

    Preparation:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 150°C (th. 5).

Step 2: Bring the milk to a boil. In the meantime, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar, then add flour.

Step 3: Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg/sugar mixture while whisking. Set the mixture aside.

Step 4: Butter a pie dish with high edges and place the broken pastry in it.

Step 5: Prick the bottom of the pastry with a fork and pour in the flan mixture. Bake for 50 minutes. If the dough starts to brown too fast, cover the pie with aluminum foil.

Step 6: A few minutes before baking is done, sprinkle brown sugar on top for a caramelized finish.

Step 7: Remove the pie from the oven, let it cool, and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

This classic Flan Pie is not only a delicious dessert but can also be part of a balanced diet when enjoyed in moderation. If you’re thinking about ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle while enjoying such sweet treats, health insurance plans can offer wellness programs, nutrition advice, and fitness guidance. Whether you have a private or public health insurance policy, many plans today emphasize preventive care and offer resources to help you balance your favorite indulgences with a healthier routine. By integrating small lifestyle changes, supported by your health insurance, you can enjoy Grandma’s Flan Pie while keeping your health in check!
