Creamy Lemon Garlic Shrimp Tortellini
A luxurious and easy seafood pasta dish made with cheese tortellini, tender shrimp, and a zesty lemon garlic cream sauce. Perfect for a restaurant-quality weeknight dinner!
Ingredients:
1 lb cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried thyme
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
Directions:
1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
5. Add in Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, dried basil, and thyme. Stir until the sauce is creamy and smooth. Thin it out with more broth if needed.
6. Return the shrimp and tortellini to the skillet. Gently toss to coat in the lemon garlic cream sauce.
7. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until everything is heated through.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot!
