    Creamy Crockpot Mac and Cheese Recipe

     

    This Creamy Crockpot Mac and Cheese is the ultimate comfort food, perfect for family dinners or potlucks. Made with a blend of cheddar and gruyere cheeses, it’s rich, cheesy, and irresistibly delicious. The slow cooker does all the work, delivering perfectly creamy pasta every time. Customize it with your favorite cheeses or bake it for a golden top. Easy, satisfying, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!

    Ingredients:

    2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)

    10.5 oz condensed cream of chicken soup (1 can)

    3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

    1 cup shredded gruyere cheese (or substitute with extra cheddar)

    ½ cup mayonnaise

    ½ cup sour cream (regular or light)

    1 tsp onion powder

    ½ tsp dry mustard powder

    ½ tsp black pepper

    Instructions:

    1. Cook the Pasta

    Boil macaroni noodles until very al dente (1-2 minutes less than the package directions).

    Drain and rinse under cold water to stop further cooking.

    2. Combine & Cook

    In a 4QT slow cooker, mix the pasta, cheeses, mayonnaise, sour cream, and seasonings.

    Cook on high for 2 hours or low for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

    3. Serve Hot

    Dish out your creamy mac and cheese while it’s still warm and gooey.

    Tips & Variations:

    Perfect Pasta: Keep your pasta firm after boiling. Overcooked pasta will become mushy in the slow cooker.

    Fresh Cheese: Always shred your own cheese for the creamiest results. Pre-shredded cheese may not melt as well.

    Gruyere Substitute: No gruyere? Add an extra cup of cheddar for a total of 4 cups.

    Cooking Time: Keep an eye on the pasta early since slow cookers can vary in temperature.

    Double It: Want to make more? Use a 6QT slow cooker and cook on high for 2½ hours, stirring occasionally.

    Make Ahead: Prepare all the ingredients except the pasta. Cook and cool the pasta in advance. Combine everything in the crockpot right before cooking.

    Oven-Baked Option: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 30 minutes covered, then 30 minutes uncovered for a golden, cheesy top.
