Slow Cooker Honey Balsamic Beef Ribs
Ingredients:
– 1 rack beef ribs
– 6 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 teaspoons onion powder
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
– 1/4 cup honey
– 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 tablespoon kosher salt
– 1/4 cup water
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the beef ribs if present. Cut the rack of ribs into individual portions if desired.
2. Season the Ribs: In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, onion powder, dried thyme, black pepper, and kosher salt. Rub this seasoning mixture evenly over the surface of the beef ribs.
3. Make the Glaze: In another bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, and fresh lemon juice until well combined.
4. Place the Ribs in the Slow Cooker: Pour water into the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange the seasoned beef ribs in a single layer.
5. Pour the Glaze: Drizzle the honey balsamic glaze over the beef ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
6. Cook: Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook the ribs on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bones.
7. Baste: Optionally, halfway through the cooking time, baste the beef ribs with some of the juices from the bottom of the slow cooker to keep them moist and flavorful.
8. Serve: Once cooked, remove the beef ribs from the slow cooker and transfer them to a serving platter. Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
