Looking for the ultimate comfort food that’s rich, tender, and bursting with bold flavor? This Slow Cooker Beef Brisket is a set-it-and-forget-it dinner perfect for weeknights or weekend feasts!
Ingredients:
3 lbs beef brisket
2 large onions, sliced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Fresh thyme, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Season the Brisket:
Pat the beef brisket dry. Mix smoked paprika, brown sugar, ground mustard, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Rub the spice blend all over the meat for deep, smoky flavor.
Sear for Flavor:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the brisket for 2–3 minutes per side until a golden crust forms this locks in juices and flavor.
Layer in the Slow Cooker:
Add sliced onions and minced garlic to the bottom of your slow cooker. Place the seared brisket on top.
Mix and Pour:
In a bowl, whisk beef broth, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture over the brisket for a rich, savory base.
Slow Cook to Perfection:
Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours until the brisket is fork-tender and juicy.
Rest, Slice & Serve:
Let the brisket rest for 10 minutes, then slice against the grain. Drizzle with sauce and garnish with fresh thyme.
