This Green Bean Stuffing Casserole is a must-try comfort dish perfect for holidays or weeknight dinners. Featuring tender green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, savory stuffing, and crispy fried onions, it delivers rich flavors and textures in every bite. Easy to customize, you can add protein like chicken or turkey for a heartier meal or switch up the toppings for extra crunch. This casserole is baked to golden perfection, making it an irresistible crowd-pleaser. It’s the ultimate side dish that will leave everyone asking for seconds!

    Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) fresh green beans, trimmed & cut into 2-inch pieces

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

    1/2 cup milk

    2 cups prepared stuffing mix

    1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    1/4 cup crispy fried onions

    1 tbsp butter

    1/2 tsp garlic powder

    1/2 tsp onion powder

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Instructions:

    1. Preheat & Prep:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Steam or blanch green beans until tender-crisp (about 4-5 minutes). Drain and set aside.

    2. Make the Sauce:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

    3. Layer the Casserole:

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.

Spread green beans evenly at the bottom of the dish.

Pour the soup mixture over the green beans.

    4. Add the Toppings:

Evenly distribute stuffing mix on top of the soup layer.

    Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.

    5. Bake:

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

Remove, add crispy fried onions on top, and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden and bubbly.

    6. Serve & Enjoy:

Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving.

    Variations for Extra Flavor

Boost Protein: Mix in cooked, diced chicken or turkey.

Go Crunchy: Swap crispy fried onions for toasted almonds or breadcrumbs.

Cheesy Upgrade: Use a blend of mozzarella and Parmesan for richer flavor.
